Congratulations to Crystal Bay Club owner Roger Norman on winning the Baja 1000. I drove to Cabo last year to fetch someone from Cabo in the Baja Haha sailing regatta. The Baja 1000 is obviously a brutal course, with an amazing quantity of support people at the numerous stops in the midst of dusty nowhere.

It’s inspiring to see someone like Roger Norman whose life is working in all parts.

As an aside, I’d like to let the Crystal Bay Club staff know that I got really sick after the Sol Jibe show on Friday. Since I’d had only my usual bottle of spring water, I was puzzled until I figured out it must have been second hand smoke poisoning. I got better after doing a one-day fasting cleanse, a run, and a farinfrared sauna but had to miss most of SNC’s Entrepeneurship Summit, especially Roger Whittenberg’s talk (how about getting to live in a town with that guy!).

The Crystal Bay Club is by far my favorite venue and Sol Jibe gave a huge and wonderful performance.

Just know, staff, that if you see a woman wearing a full-on gas mask in the Crown Room that I’m not trying to be sarcastic or make a point, just wanting to enjoy the show.
